Afterwards, the commander and the deputy minister formally opened and inspected the dam. Also present on the occasion were departmental officials, members of social organizations and local people. At the briefing hall of the dam, an official and the deputy minister reported to the commander on construction and facts about the dam. The dam is located near Bawditahtaung standing Buddha Image in Khattakan Village in Monywa Township. |
Bawditahtaung Dam in Monywa Township was inaugurated on 31 December. At the ceremony to inaugurate the dam, Chairman of Sagaing Division Peace and Development Council Commander of North-West Command Maj-Gen Myint Soe delivered an opening address and unveiled the stone inscription of the dam.
