MOAI Proposes 4 Special Projects PDF Print E-mail
The coordination meeting (2/2010) of Special Projects Implementation Committee took place at the operation meeting room of the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) in Nay Pyi Taw at 2 pm on 16 Aug. 2010, attended by Chairman of Special Projects Implementation Committee Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe.

Also present at the meeting were Vice-Chairman of the Committee Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye, members of the Committee SPDC member General Thura Shwe Mann and Prime Minister U Thein Sein, Secretary of the Committee SPDC Secretary-1 General Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy), the Commander-in-Chief (Air), senior military officers of the Ministry of Defence, ministers, deputy ministers, departmental heads and officials.

The Fourth Symposium on Agricultural Research“The Fourth Symposium on Agricultural Research” organized by the Myanmar Academy of Agricultural, Forestry, Livestock and Fishery Sciences was held at 5 pm on 27 Jul. 2010 in the auditorium of Yezin Agricultural University and attended by the Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation U Htay Oo.

Also presented at the Symposium were Chairman, Executive Committee Members, Members of the Myanmar Academy of Agricultural, Forestry, Livestock and Fishery Sciences, departmental heads, researchers and invited guests.

Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony PDF Print E-mail
Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation held a monsoon tree planting ceremony at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 6 July 2010.

Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation U Htay Oo planted a Seintalon mango sapling at designated place and so did directors-general, managing directors and staff.

After that, the minister enjoyed tree planting by staff and then gave instructions on tree growing methods and tasks to be carried out for plant-thriving.
